Cypher Ceres Quickdraw in Gripped Magazine
The stoke is always high when we see mainstream climbing media publish stuff about our gear. This time, Gripped Magazine honored us by publishing about the new Cypher Ceres II quickdraw.
The Ceres II quickdraw is lightweight, compact, and features two hooded wire-gates on both ends. As an alpine draw, this quickdraw really excels. The 7mm Dyneema® 60cm sling does an excellent job at keeping the rope drag down to a minimum. The two contrasting colored biners help limit unnecessary rope ware by differentiating the "bolt-biner" from the "rope-biner." The Ceres quickdraw is also available in varied lengths as a sport draw.
The rigid spine of the biner offers secure handling while the fast-action gate makes it a dream to clip. The 11cm version of the Ceres quickdraw weighs in at 66 grams and the alpine draw weighs in at 76 grams. The Ceres biners, with a strength rating of 24kN, are hot forged, allowing them to be constructed in a way so that the load bearing materials are located where it really counts.
Not only is the Cypher Ceres quickdraw a solid piece of gear, but its affordability (starting at $10.95) won't deplete your gear fund.
